Opening Ceremony Concert by Top Musicians at the Uganda Lecture!

A total of 5 artists performed on stage and sang their song that conveyed their faith during the opening ceremony. They were Dr Jose Chameleone, a member of Happy Science and Africa’s top singer, King Wadada, also a Happy Science member and singer in Nigeria, Iryn Namubiru, Uganda’s top female artist, Benon Mugumbya, a popular young producer and singer, and the St. Denis Choir Ggba.


The seven songs performed were all original songs created for this special day in Uganda. Lord El Cantare’s love was delivered to the people through music.

The concert started with a upbeat music sung by the Gospel Choir. It made a very open and welcoming atmosphere in the stadium.

Iryn Namubiru who is loved by the people of Uganda, performed a R&B song with a African beat and showed the importance of love. The whole stadium was filled with happiness through the song.

A song that delivered the message that Lord El Cantare is love, mercy, and the being that supports everything and everyone. The stadium became one and the gratitude toward Lord El Cantare deepened.

Meet the Artists!


chameproDr. Jose Chameleone

Born in Uganda. One of the most popular singer in Uganda. He has been awarded PAM Award, which is the most prestigious music award in Uganda for four years in a row (2003~2006).


kingproKing Wadada

Born in Nigeria. He created his own reggae style called African Spiritual Reggae and became a top singer in Nigeria. In 2010, he was awarded the Best Reggae Artist in Africa at the Kora Award for his album “Holy Holy”.

irynproIryn Namubiru

Born in Uganda. She became Uganda’s top female artist with her album “Nkuweeki” in 2006. Since 2006, she has been creating many hit songs and has been awarded with various awards. In 2011, she was awarded in 4 genres at PAM Award – Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Best R&B single of the Year.

benonproBenon Mugumbya

Born in Uganda. One of the most popular young producers in Uganda. After high school, he has created many hit songs and from 2008, he started his career as a music producer, creating new styles of music in northern Africa. Lately, he has been touring African countries, America, Sweden, etc.

choirproSt.Denis Choir Ggba

The Choir that is mainly active in Ggaba Parish district in Kampala. They were founded in 1992 and is active at churches, music festivals, charity projects, and etc.
